Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas | 2003 | PG | - 2.3.1
Animated film that reinvents the famous "Arabian Nights" Sinbad fable: Sinbad is a pirate, sailing the seas without a care in the world, when Eris, the goddess of discord, frames him for the theft of the "Book of Peace." In order to prove his innocence and to save the life of his best friend Proteus he sets off on a perilous journey to recover the book. Along comes Proteus' headstrong fiancée, complicating Sinbad's sense of fidelity toward his friend. With the voices of Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michelle Pfeiffer, Dennis Haysbert and Joseph Fiennes. Directed by Tim Johnson & Patrick Gilmore. [1:25]
SEX/NUDITY 2 - A man and a woman kiss, and a man and a woman hug and kiss. A man touches a woman's hand and leans in to kiss her, and a man and a woman hug. Sea sirens sing and dance, distracting sailors: we see their forms slithering around the men, caressing them as they pass, and kissing a few. A woman (she's a goddess) sits in a tub of bubbles (we see her bare shoulders and legs); she also speaks and moves in a seductive manner. A man's pants are torn exposing his bare buttock. A woman wears a tight-fitting outfit that reveals cleavage. Men are drawn bare-chested (mainly in pirate garb). A man tells another man to "Put a shirt on before you poke someone's eye out," when it becomes very cold. There is a brief reference to a brothel.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A man puts his head on a block in preparation for execution, the executioner raises his blade and begins to bring it down, but it is stopped. A man puts his head on a block preparing for execution, the blade is raised and begins to swing down when the blade crumbles into shards of metal. A large tentacled, serpent-like creature comes out of the sea and begins tearing up a ship, a dog bites onto a tentacle and is flung around, and the creature grabs a man with its long tongue and puts him in its mouth (the man is spat out later covered with green slime). A man pins the creature's tongue to the deck of the ship with a knife, two men slide down ropes on pointed beams and spear the creature, which retreats into the sea dragging one man under. A huge bird grabs a woman and carries her off to the top of a mountain where it tries to eat her. A man and woman are chased by a huge bird: they run, jump over a cliff, and sled down snow on a shield; the bird chases, rocks crumble around them as they pass, they crash into a cave, the bird follows and is pinned under a rock. A large eye opens under a group of people standing on what they thought was an island: the creature the eye belongs to begins to move, the people are tossed around and slide off crashing into a ship, and a harpoon is shot into the creature and the ship is dragged along roughly. A man launches himself on a harpoon and crashes into a sheer rock wall. Pirates draw swords and board another ship attacking the sailors: explosives are thrown, men fight with swords, and by kicking and knocking other men down. One man catches a blade in his teeth, a man lunges with a sword but is knocked down and held by three men, and two men duel with swords. A very angry goddess flies around a man and stops just before his face yelling at him and threatening him. A man and a woman swing from a rope into a large, bright light and land on sand where large creatures surround them and the scenery shifts continuously. A ship sails through a treacherous rock formation: it is damaged as it knocks into rocks and is tossed back and forth violently and we see a ships' graveyard with many tattered ships' hulls. A ship sails toward what looks like the end of the sea (it looks like a sheer drop off), it reaches the end and falls, its sails are deployed and it floats in the air. A city falls into darkness, stone walls begin to crumble, and people scream and run in fear. A man is sentenced to death for stealing. A man in handcuffs is thrown into a jail cell, and a man puts a sword to his crotch when recounting an incident. A stone walkway crumbles as a man walks across it and a man and a woman fall. A woman punches a man in the face and he falls unconscious, another woman punches a man in the face, a man punches a man in the face, and a man is hit in the head by a wooden beam. A woman throws a bucket of sap on a man, covering him with goo, he throws mud at her covering her with goo, and then they throw all sorts of things at each other. A man carries a woman over his shoulder and tosses her into a ship's hold; a dog is there and he slobbers all over on her. A dog launches himself into the crow's nest of a ship using a catapult, and knocks down a man and a woman who are there. The sea sirens appear beautiful but their image shifts briefly showing them as eerie creatures with sharp teeth and glowing eyes. Many people are sea sick: they are tinged green, hang their heads over the side of a ship, we hear gagging, a dog blows a nose bubble and we hear gagging off-screen. A dog drools constantly.
