In this Irish comedy, a small village is turned upside-down
when one of its residents wins the lottery. Starring Ian Bannen, David Kelly, Fionnula
Flanagan, James Nesbitt, Susan Lynch, Eileen Dromey, Robert Hickey, Maura O'Malley, Fintan
McKeown, Brendan F. Dempsey, Dermot Kerrigan and Jimmy Keogh.
SEX/NUDITY 4 - A little sexual innuendo, one passionate embrace, and we
learn a child was born out of wedlock. We see the bare posteriors of two men; we also see
one instance of full-frontal male nudity, albeit at quite a distance so we don't see
much clearly. A few scenes of a nude man riding a motorcycle -- his groin is covered.
VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - One person is accidentally killed by a car; we don't
see the person or the effects and the situation is comical, not dramatic. A few times, we
see a dead man sitting in a chair; in one scene, a man is poking around in the dead
man's mouth and accidentally knocks his dental bridge out and onto the floor -- not
gory, but gross. A woman slaps a man's face.
PROFANITY 1 - A handful of insults, anatomical references, and scatological
references. [profanity glossary]
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Death, fraud, friendship, close-knit communities, winning the
lottery.
MESSAGE - Sometimes a little white lie -- for the greater good -- isn't
so bad.
