30 Days of Night | 2007 | R | - 1.10.6
Horror movie taking place in the northernmost town in the U.S., a small and isolated town in Alaska, where during the winter there are 30 days of continuous darkness. With Josh Hartnett, Melissa George, Danny Huston, Jon Bennett and Ben Foster. Directed by David Slade. [2:08]
SEX/NUDITY 1 - A husband and wife kiss.
► Two men make sexual remarks about a woman, and it is implied that all three are planning to spend the evening together.
► A creature wearing a dress reveals a bit of bare leg while writhing on the ground.

VIOLENCE/GORE 10 - The creatures are zombie-like, with pointed teeth and an appetite for flesh; their eyes are black, they screech and howl to communicate and the only way to kill them is by lopping off their head.
► A man hears noises coming from outside a monitoring station, he goes to investigate, something moves quickly around him (we see blurs of movement), he tries to see what's happening, and something slashes his throat (we see blood and tissue and the man falls to the ground); a creature jumps on top of him and begins chewing out his throat (we see blood and hear slurping and tearing).
► A man and a woman are attacked by two creatures: the man is stabbed in the stomach (we see blood), and the woman's arm is broken and then a creature chews on her throat (we hear slurping and tearing and the woman continues to scream).
► A young woman walks through a deserted street crying for help (she has a bloody arm), and many creatures gather on rooftops around her; one creature with a very bloody mouth and face snarls at her, others approach and surround her, they begin slashing her with their long nails (we see bloody slashes), and then one bites her repeatedly (blood spurts, she screams and we hear gnashing).
► We see many people being attacked and killed from an aerial view: we hear people screaming and see them running, they are attacked and blood stains the snow-covered ground and we hear screeching and screaming.
► A man is grabbed and dragged away by something that is not shown; two other people with him become frightened and the man's body drops to the ground with a very bloody neck wound (he twitches, gags and spits).
► We hear slurping and gnashing and we see a little girl feeding on a man: she turns and snarls with a blood covered mouth and chin and lunges toward another man who sprays her with mace, then grabs her and holds her against a wall while a teenage boy hacks her head off with an ax.
► A man is attacked by a creature and he twitches while it feeds, tearing his flesh (we hear crunching and there is a lot of blood). A creature breaks a man's neck.
► Two creatures fight: they punch and kick each other, one is pushed through a car window, one is kicked in the stomach a few times and spits blood, one has its hand broken, and one lunges for the other, which thrusts its fist through its head (we see the fist push through the face and out the back of the head while blood spurts and we hear crunching).
► A man who has been infected and is changing into a creature walks toward another man and lunges for him trying to bite him; the man pushes him off, struggles with him, strikes him with an ax twice (we hear crunching and blood sprays) and cuts his head off (we see the headless body dangling from swing chains and we see the severed head on the ground near it).
► A man is attacked by a creature, another man strikes it with an ax, they all fight struggling to keep the creature from biting them, and the creature is pushed into a grinding machine (we see it being pulverized and blood spurts); the arm of one of the men is caught in the machine and cut off, he screams and screeches (we see a stump and blood), and another man cuts his head off with an ax (it takes three blows and we see the head incrementally separating).
► A man with a gun drawn investigates a ransacked monitoring station, he turns to see blood smeared in snow, and then sees a stake with a man's severed head.
► A piece of road equipment with a turning blade on it is used to drive through many creatures and cut them to pieces (we see the bodies separating, blood spills on the ground and sprays, we hear crunching). A man drives a snowplow and slams into two creatures cutting them in half. A creature is burned by a UV light (we see its charred face and discolored eye), and it screams and writhes in pain until another creature bites it on the neck killing it. A creature is burned by sunlight, its face begins to char, it thrashes and screeches and eventually stops moving and turns to dust.
► A man runs into a house, he is followed by several creatures, he ignites a flare that causes an explosion, which blows several creatures through the air, and the man crawls out of the flames and a creature steps on his head, crushing it.
► A car is lifted off the ground and tipped over, the people inside are slightly injured and struggle to get out, creatures try to get them, and one creature's arm is blown off (we see a stub and bloody tissue). A creature steps in a bear trap and falls to the ground screaming.
► Something we do not see crashes through a window, grabs a woman, drags her away while she screams, and her husband tries to follow, but he is scratched on the face (we see a little blood) and his leg is broken (we see a bit of bone and blood).
► Several sled dogs bark aggressively and snarl, we hear a yelp, a knife is raised in the air, blood spills on the ground by one dog's paws, and we later see several dead dogs with very bloody mouths and bodies.
► Along a snow-covered road a creature jumps on top of a passing car and punches the roof; one passenger in the car shoots through the roof striking the creature, which screeches and is thrown into a snow drift while the car speeds away.
► We hear a woman screaming over a radio and then see the office where she had been with a large smear of blood on a wall and a pool of blood on the floor. A creature smears the blood of a dead person on its hands and head and it drips down into its face.
► A man sits in a room where his wife and two children lie dead in a bed after he shot them (we see bodies covered with sheets and spots of blood on them); when he tries to kill himself the gun jams, and another man enters the room and shoves him. A man yells and foams at the mouth and he is shot in the arm (blood spurts).
► Two men go into an office, we hear two whacks and understand that one cut the other's head off.
► A man injects himself with contaminated blood, he begins to change, his eyes change color, he thrashes and moans, and his teeth change shape.
► A man grabs a boy by the throat and squeezes.
► A girl with a blood splattered face walks through a street, a woman jumps out, grabs her and pulls her under a building; creatures approach them and snarl and a man creates a diversion.
► A woman drives a car on a winding, snow-covered road and crashes into a large piece of equipment that's coming toward her (the car is immobilized but no one is injured).
► A man orders raw meat in a diner and is abusive to the server and threatens a sheriff, and a woman holds a gun to his head and we later see the man in jail.
► An elderly man is frightened and runs away, and another man follows him shoving a woman out of the way as he goes (she falls and strikes her head on a chair and lies unconscious for a moment).
► In several scenes we see a man who has grey-tinged skin and blackened teeth and speaks about death approaching.
► People are frightened in several scenes when they hear screeching and screaming in the distance. A man gasps and has trouble breathing (it is presumably an asthma attack).
► We see fragments of helicopter parts in a grinding machine and hear that it had been torn apart by something. An oil pipeline leaks oil onto streets and is set on fire burning a town. Two men find a pile of burned cell phones in a snowdrift.
► A teenage boy talks about something "eating his grandmother." A man talks about his family having been killed by a drunk driver and wishing that he could commit suicide. We learn that the heads of the creatures must be separated from the bodies in order to be killed.
► We hear about an extremely isolated Alaskan town and see a ship trapped in ice just off the coast.
