"One of the 50 Coolest Websites...they simply tell it like it is" - TIME
Rush Hour | 1998 | PG-13 | - 1.6.5
Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are an unlikely crime-fighting duo in this comedy/action flick. Co-starring Elizabeth Pena, Tom Wilkinson, Philip Baker Hall, Mark Rolston, Tzi Ma, Rex Linn, Ken Leung, Chris Penn and Julia Hsu.
SEX/NUDITY 1 - Some sexual innuendo. A man accidentally puts his hands on a woman's clothed breasts.
VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - Lots of fights; many people are kicked, punched, elbowed, etc. A man repeatedly tries to hit another with an axe. Lots of threatening with guns and lots of shoot-outs: many people are shot, and we sometimes see some blood on their clothing. A man shoots two others and blood sprays on a girl's clothing. A man falls from a very high ceiling beam into a small pool and presumably dies; another man falls and lands on a flag, uninjured. A man jumps out of a moving car, which explodes seconds later, and he gets some bloody cuts on his hands and face. A building explodes while many people are inside. Two men fall through boards on a catwalk and are nearly run over when they land on the ground. A man is nearly crushed between two dumpsters. A girl punches a man who's trying to grab her; as she's running away from him, she's snatched by a man on a motorcycle and pushed into a van. Explosives are strapped to a girl and a man threatens to set them off. Some reckless driving and car crashes; in one scene, a van is driven into the side of a building.
LANGUAGE 5 - One F-word derivative, lots of anatomical and scatological references, lots of mild obscenities and some insults and racial slurs.
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Kidnapping, organized crime, law enforcement, friendship, keeping promises.
MESSAGE - The good guys always win, though they sometimes get sidetracked along the way.
