Five teenagers are tied to fishing cages while an alien interrogates and threatens them; she presses the end of her staff against a teen's throat and the veins in his face bulge and turn black, and then a teen boy is seemingly killed and he falls into the water (we see his body when the other teens pull him out and carry him away; he is revived later).
An alien attacks a man for his teeth: she slams him against a wall and we see a shadow of her pulling out his teeth. A van with five teenagers speeds at barrier by a train track and is struck in the side, thrown over an incline and rolls (we see the crumpled remains of the car but the passengers are uninjured). Two teenage boys tie a cow to a locker room bench and run when they hear a police car approaching; one boy backs his car into a squad car, speeds away and crashes into a parked car (we see the driver with a bloody nose after the car flips). An alien is shot in the chest by a police officer and she falls back through a glass display case (we see no blood and she revives), and she is shot at several more times until a giant monster grows from the ground and presumably kills the officer (we do not see the action). An alien hovers over a teen girl sleeping in bed, she grabs her by the face and they slam each other into a wall (we see the damaged wall later). Something crashes into the planet and the explosion and shockwave kills an alien (we see the body on the ground) and throws another through the air and into the water. We hear a TV news report that two fishermen were found dead.

A CAVEAT: We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and some of our early standards were not as stringent as they are now. We therefore need to revisit many older reviews, especially those written prior to 1998 or so; please keep this in mind if you're consulting a review from that period. While we plan to revisit and correct older reviews our resources are limited and it is a slow, time-consuming process.

INAPPROPRIATE ADS? We have little control over ads since we belong to ad agencies that serve ads automatically; a standing order should prevent provocative ads, but inappropriate ads do sneak in.
