"One of the 50 Coolest Websites...they simply tell it like it is" - TIME

Hostage | 2005 | R | - 3.8.10

Bruce Willis stars as a police hostage negotiator who's wracked by guilt from having failed on his last case -- a man holding his wife and young son hostage ended up shooting them both and himself. In order to try to forget his past he moves to a small, serene California town, but when a couple of young men try to steal the car of a mobster (Kevin Pollak), his hostage negotiating skills are put again to the test. Also with Jimmy Bennett, Jimmy Pinchak and Jonathan Tucker. Directed by Florent Emilio Siri. [1:42]

SEX/NUDITY 3 - A young man makes a sexual gesture with his hand and mouth toward a teenage girl. A young man blows marijuana smoke in a teenage girl's face and rests his head on her chest (she is bound). A young man admires a teenage girl and tells her he likes her top.
A teenage girl wears a low-cut and short top that reveals cleavage, bare abdomen and bare lower back. Three male police officers are shown bare-chested and wearing their boxer shorts.
There seems to be a perpetual sense of threat that a forced sexual situation is imminent.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
