Broken Lizard's Club Dread | 2004 | R | - 8.8.8
Horror comedy about an aging rock star, Coconut Pete (Bill Paxton), who opens an island resort called Pleasure Island where the guests' sexual satisfaction is guaranteed. The party is dampened, however, when the staff members begin turning up dead and the killer appears to be playing out the verses of one of Pete's tunes. Also with Kevin Heffernan, Paul Soter, Steve Lemme and Erik Stolhanske. Directed by Jay Chandrasekhar. [1:45]
SEX/NUDITY 8 - A man and a woman kiss in bed, she removes her top (we see bare beasts and he is bare-chested), she sits on top of him and they thrust and moan while a man watches briefly and three people in a closet listen (a man in the closet rubs himself on a woman). A man and two women prepare to have sex: one woman takes off her top to a bikini top, she begins licking and fondling his chest, the two women take off their tops (we see bare breasts), they kiss each other and caress the statue of a monkey with an extremely exaggerated phallus; the two women kiss the man, one moves down his torso to presumably perform oral sex (we hear slurping and moaning) and the other kisses his neck and licks his ear. A man and a woman have sex in a jacuzzi (we see them through a glass wall that looks onto a bar where other people are dancing): we see the woman's leg wrapped around his waist, they both thrust, and we see their bare buttocks. A man and a woman have sex, and we see him thrusting from behind her. A man and a woman dressed like a pretzel and a watermelon slice, respectively, have sex: we see the man thrusting from behind her, they both moan and another man watches briefly. A man makes people reach an orgasm by touching spots on their hands and lips. We see a nude man from the side (bare buttocks), a nude man swings on a rope swing (we see a glimpse of his private parts), another man runs nude in the distance (we see a glimpse of his private parts), and women run topless (we see bare breasts). Two men drop their pants and we see their crotches but they have tucked their private parts between their legs. A woman flips a man onto the sand, climbs on top of him and kisses him. A man and a woman hug and kiss in a couple of scenes, and a man imagines kissing himself. The island's name is Pleasure Island and the employees of the resort are told to have sex with the guests. People play a game where men are bent over with balloons tied to their buttocks, and women thrust from behind presumably trying to pop the balloons. A woman finds a dildo in a suitcase. A man pretends to be a talking monkey and says, "give it to her," two men watch women from a distance and make sexual remarks and sexually suggestive hand gestures, a woman says, "some girls are just tighter than others," a man talks about a man "putting the screws to a woman," a man talks about a man having "sex with a corpse," and a man says he had "sex with a goat." Men and women dance together in several scenes. Women wear bikinis and tiny bits of clothing throughout the movie and men are shown in swimwear. A woman wears a low-cut top revealing cleavage.

VIOLENCE/GORE 8 - A man with a machete murders many people: A man is sliced from the back, from the shoulder to the chest (we see a bloody slice as he falls to the ground), two women who were with him are sprayed with blood, they run and scream, one falls off a cliff after having her hand sliced by the machete, and the other is beheaded (we see her body twitch on the ground and hear a thump when her head drops). A man is slashed (we hear slashing and crunching noises), a man is slashed across the throat by a machete (blood spurts and sprays), and a man is slashed across the stomach (we see him covered with blood, and then later with bloody words carved on his chest). A woman is chased, she screams, the man with the machete raises it toward her, and we hear her scream. A man hangs limp from a parachute while parasailing and slams into a cabana (he lies dead on the ground with bloody words carved on his chest). We see a dead man lying on the beach with bloody words carved on his chest and a woman's dismembered arms in the sand next to him. A man is electrocuted in a pool (a TV is thrown into the pool while he swims, we see him jolt and shake), a man swings from a cord around his neck and crashes through a window (we see the man hanging for an extended period with blood on his face and neck and his tongue sticking out), and a man's severed head spins on a turntable (we see the bloody wound at his neck and his eyes are bloody). A machete is thrown and it hits a man in the chest (we hear machete blows with crunching, squishing and the man groans). A man raises an ax over another man, and another man stabs the first man in the back with a machete. A man has a large gaping slash across his stomach (blood fills the water around him when he slips under water and dies). A man is wrapped with a rope, dragged into water by a boat, lashed to a wooden raft, he falls unconscious, wakes up and tries to grab a man, the rope is tightened and eventually cuts the man in half (we see his legs with blood and fleshy matter sink under water, and his torso then topples over). We see dead, bloody bodies dangling from a ceiling and perched on high shelves a few times. Half a man (head and torso) attacks a woman on a boat grabbing her around the neck, and another man grabs the man and tosses him into the sea. A man hits a woman in the face, she falls back, and he wraps a rope around a man's neck and tries to strangle him. A man holds a woman under water in a jacuzzi, another man breaks the glass side of the jacuzzi -- water and people pour out. A man has a dream about being chased by a murderer who tackles him, and then another person stabs the murderer in the back. We hear that a man's parents were trampled to death at a concert. A man talks about a man having murdered a group of people with a machete and then cut off his private parts. A man goes into dark jungle, a woman comes behind him with a butcher knife and he is startled. A man yells at two men and throws a coconut against a wall in anger. A man trips while walking through a dark jungle, he knocks the head of a statue, and a monkey jumps from a tree, screams and startles him. People jump off a high cliff and into the sea below. A man has a large scar on his stomach. A man is thrown off a stage and into a crowd of people. A man spits his drink on a woman's face when he is shocked by something she says. A man using a water blaster sprays people in the mouth and face with tequila. A man urinates in his pants. A man has a shrine to a celebrity in his room (photos of the celebrity and candles burn).
